"People Who Never Quit And Overcame"

Why BOA,  a snake?

When I was nine years old my father gave me a book about Olympic athletes that had physical handicaps that medical doctors said they would be like for the rest of their lives with no chance of being normal and ever doing any sports of any kind.  One of these was Wilma Rudolph who grew up with multiple illnesses and diseases yet, went on to win Olympic metals.  As I studied the people in this book and as I grew up I put these things together as I studied people I could see and watch on TV.  Three things always stuck out in my mind was their behaviors in life, their outlooks on life, and their attitude towards life.  Later, as a boy in high school, I was reading my parents National Geographic magazine and saw an article about people in South and Central America and the mention of Boa Constrictors.  I thought about behavior, outlook and attitude as boa but did not like the idea of constriction.   Years later, I came across an older National Geographic magazine that said tribesmen in Central and South America would use boa constrictors to capture their prey.  So, I ordered a copy of this National Geographic magazine to have in my possession to validate this action of the tribesmen.  Next, I put this together with my behavior, outlook, attitude (boa) to create BOA Power.  Then, I made a very large boa snake that could wrap around someone to use in my seminars.  I got volunteers from the audience who I could wrap the boa around and show how a bad behavior, a bad outlook and a bad attitude will constrict you hindering your performances or even shutdown what you are attempting to accomplish.  Also, showing how you can use your good behavior, good outlook and good attitude to capture your dreams (symbolic: "prey").  I have used this many times in many different environments and one in NASCAR Cup racing providing one of the many other ingredients (from all the team members performing all their unique skills and talents) to win the 2002 Daytona 500.

“Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.”  Numbers 21:8-9 NKJV

Jesus said in John 3:14; “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,” (NKJV).

The serpent (representing their illness from the serpent) being crucified/destroyed was also to release healing in their bodies.   Jesus Christ on the cross (the pole) took our sins and sickness to release forgiveness and healing to all who look to Him in faith, believing.

My plaque with the coiled boa and tube in the middle, explained:  The tube with your vision written on paper is symbolic of the pole where your bad boa is destroyed and a new boa comes forth to capture your dreams.

The work of Jesus Christ was twofold:

John 3:16 (NKJV)
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

1 John 3:8 (NKJV)
8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.
